June 20, 2025: Bonus Buzz - Bee, the Lesson MVP

This week Bee earned herself an A+ in teamwork and training and proved just how far she’s come! With my lesson mate Jennifer in the saddle, Bee showed just how reliable (and versatile!) she can be. She walked, trotted, loped, and cruised through the barrel pattern like a total champ—ears forward, attitude dialed in. She wasn’t just cooperative—she was happy to do the job.

The highlight? Bee’s bond with her herd mate Vita and her rider, Finley. Bee made it her mission to stick close to Vita the entire lesson, sometimes to my chagrin. She was calm and content beside her new buddy as we warmed up and didn’t pay any mind to the other horses. No kicking, no pinning ears—just sweet, social Bee being part of a herd and showing off her good manners.

And here’s a personal note: There was a time I didn’t think I’d be able to ride Bee—let alone have someone else ride her. Watching her carry someone else safely, confidently, and with kindness was one of those small-but-huge moments that made my heart swell. She’s not just my horse anymore—she’s proving to be a true partner.

From nervous beginnings to sharing the arena with grace, Bee is absolutely blossoming.
